When flying from Graz, I can personally recommend flying from Graz Airport. It has shop, food buying vending places, seats and boxes to place your used syringes. It gets my votey vote !

Also bens says that the internet was also. Good

A small airport with fast and efficient security, so it's not necessary to get there too early. Good transport links by rail to the city centre, although the trains were not very frequent (only once per hour in the evening). Good duty free shop. The cafe after security is fine but quite expensive.

Entry to lounge requires special ticket - which is only available before check-in / security check - cool policy to keep people away ;-)

A relaxed and not very busy airport, public transport connected.

    Our Graz child nightmare

We took a flight this morning from Graz and had our worst flying experience ever. We were with our 2 year old son and for the first time since he is born we got denied to take almost any "baby food" with us. The staff threw away everythjng we had prepared for an almost 7 hours airport adventure including water in our baby bottle which is the only one he wants to drink from.

They judged he was big enough (by height) not to need it and they said we could find all we need for him on board. I tried to explain them that he has stomach problems and cannot eat whatever comes on the way and that we had the same food regime on all our other EU flights in the past weeks. They were of course not interested in checking the medical documentation. The best the airline company could give was a chocolate snack with ice cold water. The result was a starving toddler for hours and us completely helpless on our short transit via Frankfurt to find him any adequate food, same story on the next flight.

I checked on your website and was not able to find clear rules on baby food carrying in hand luggage. While checking other EU aiports websites to which rules I am used to I saw that that they are all alllowing until the age of 3 to take on board water and all the food necessary for the duration of the flight/s.

I have no words to explain our experience today and I think no passenger ever deserves to be treated like that, especially not an ill 2 y.o.
