    這家旅館位置幽靜,應可避開遊客,又可拍攝到美麗的景.

Excellent pension to stay at. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, view is amazing, and the hosts are very nice. Comes with free breakfast. You do have to share showers, but not a big deal as the place is well kept! Most rooms open up to the lake, which has lot of swans!

Stayed in pension with my husband and have to say it was one of the best holidays we have had. Pension is situated out of the center, away from tourist rush, but close enough to reach it within few minutes. It is very nice, clean, quiet place - piece of heaven, really :) Owners are very helpful, well informed about the surroundings and friendly, which made our stay even more pleasant. Highly recommended!

You bet we've been there, and that is why I am looking for it today. Look, tourist. Never go to Haus Sarstein.
Never, never, never. Try the Motel 6 over at Obertraun or better go to Switzerland. Leave this one for us.

Seriously, this place is it. It isn't the only "it" in Hallstatt; it is hard to go wrong with the guest houses, probably impossible. But this one is up with the best, and because we did it once, about 15 years ago, we'll do it twice, since we have been invited to Germany early this summer. I "discovered" Hallstatt in 1962 while on vacation from school in Hamburg. I blinked as I walked around the curve from Obertraun, where I had just gotten off the train, took the famous picture which then was not so famous, blinked, could not believe my eyes. In 1995 it remained the same picture. Hallstatt is not anxious to "develop" and ruin itself. It is a quiet
place. Freud is said to have developed some of his dream theories while hiking here. I believe it. Haus Sarstein is simultaneously authentic, beautiful, and modest, straight up. If you don't need chikki mikki, go
    here.
