Service was a little slow. Server was nice and helped me with my gluten free needs. They don’t have a GF menu in English, but the server’s English was excellent. GF beer tho — yum!

Loved this place. Went back 3 times in 3 days for their fresh (bottled) beer and good food. Their weisswurst is really good. So was the other foods I tried. The staff is quicker and nicer than most places in Austiria ( in my weeklong trip here).

Good Austrian food at reasonable prices, very 'local' atmosphere. Good for groups, pairs or also going on your own, as it's fairly easy to get in touch with the locals as well as visitors from elsewhere. Outside dining on summer days, either covered or with the sky as your roof.

Great Beer House for a visit to Salzburg! Really good beer. Decent food. Our waitress was one of the fastest and most efficient I have seen. Prices were decent. I and my travel group had a great time here.

This is the first place I ever ate in Salzburg. I found a seat at the bar next to this couple from just outside Vienna.

The beer I ordered was a house beer called 1901. It was a nice, smooth beer, compatible to a dark lager. Came in a fancy .5 liter flip top bottle.

I also ordered the Müncher Weissen, which was a white veil sausage that came with "mini pretzels." The food was great, but the experience was interesting.

The couple taught me that, in Austria, they don't eat the skin of the white sausage. They realized that I didn't know when I took the first bite with the skin on. I didn't think it tasted bad with skin. Then they bought my second beer. I didn't know they bought it until after they left.

The pretzel was by no means "mini," but it was great. I definitely recommend eating here.

I think this is some of the best beer I've had in Europe. It is all served from swing-top bottles, so you always get a fresh "pop" when you open it. It's frothy and fresh, and the whole place is bustling, but in a relaxed, unhurried way. Expect "slow" service and enjoy.

This is more of an Austrian revival-hipster experience, but quite nice to have a good wheat beer and a pretzel. The food is tasty as well if you like traditional cuisine, as well as the brewery-style, cozy interior.

But do yourself a favor and pick a time when there is no event or sports broadcast, unless you are into bellowing football related chants yourself.
