Great location. I love this place for business meetings and to meet with friends. The food is great for vegetarians and meat lovers. Good music and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Disappointment. I do not understand the hype about this restaurant. The atmosphere and the service is good, but the food was nothing special. We ate a ramen soup and a curry but both of them was just avarage. The chicken in the ramen tasted quite unfresh.

The Scherbe is a great place, where the students and all kinds of locals meet for many years now. The staff is friendly and willing to help, and the food is great, ranging from Korean Krautsalat to Empanadas. My Empanadas came with bacon, mushrooms, onions and more and a cream dip, very yummy. For the drink I took a big apple juice with sparkling water. The atmosphere of the Scherbe is relaxed and easygoing and you easily can sit for hours with your friends and to work in a vibrant environment. I even spotted plugs here to charge devices. And the center location of the Scherbe is just across the river Mur on the opposite of the Schlossberg, what makes the Scherbe an ideal starting point to have a night out. And what’s a true asset of this place is its long opening hours, Monday to Saturday until 1 am and as for the cellar even longer.

For some reason I've never understood, this bar has a sort of cult status. People will mention going to Scherbe and everyone else will sort of nod their heads sagely as if true wisdom has been spoken. It's a bar. It's just a very average bar. That is all.
