Very well located, great views, friendly, happy staff, very comfortable Tyrolean hotel with excellent food and service.

love it here.
The scenery is amazing. in the summer there are so many places specially catered for walking & in the Winter for skiing.
The spa has everything you need to relax. In the summer there is an outdoor pool.
The breakfast & evening buffet have great choices although not cheap but you get what you pay for.
They do a great hot chocolate in the bar the 'Almdudler' soft drink, & 'Sweigelt' red wine authentic from Austria.

Das Pool ist schön verarbeitet und in perfekter Temperatur. Super schöne Saunas und Dampfbäder. Es kann leicht passieren das man allein im Schwimmbad ist.

It's an ok place but too expensive for what it offers. It starts with the fact, that wifi is not free. Quite in the contrary, the charges are truly high (2 Euros for 2 hrs). It is so simple and inexpensive to provide wifi by now and charging for Wifi really only serves to annoy you guests. It's almost ironic that there is free Wifi available on the ski slopes, but as soon as you get home into your 4-star hotel, there no longer seem to be a need for that kind of customer service. (Btw, mobile coverage is excellent all over the area, including in the hotel).
The list continues with lots of little nuisances, that each in itself is not that bad, but they add up and considering the prices being charged, are not acceptable.
The salad buffet at dinner ran out of certain more popular salads, the coffee machine at breakfast was either broken or when it worked, made luke warm, not so good coffee, the juice dispenser did not get filled often enough and dispensed average juice that was hardly chilled, the breakfast buffet selection was ok, but nothing special at all. Dinner during the week consisted of 3 meals one can chose from, that too is not really up to scratch, with most 4 star hotels these days mostly opting for a buffet style offering. Food served was ok, but again, not up to the standard one is used to in similar places.
The bar could not serve a Bloody Mary because of the lack of tomato juice. The drink we ordered instead was a mojito, but that could not be done because there were no limes left (at 6:30 pm for pre-dinner drinks).
Prices charged for drinks during dinner are steep. How does 4.90 Euros for 0.75l of sparkling mineral water sound? You can get away with charging that, as long s everything else is top notch, but it's not.
The rooms were dated and are in need of a refresh, but they are clean and quite roomy. If you want to iron anything before going to dinner, you are out of luck, no irons, not even available at reception. One needs to use the laundry service for that.
There is no dry room available to dry your ski gear over night. So our family room was full of ski boots and gloves on the heaters and jackets / pants hanging over sofas to get them near the heaters. This is a hotel in Kitzbühel, winter guests will mostly go skiing
On a positive note, staff are excellent, always friendly and willing to help, a real pleasure. The wellness area, the pool to be more precise, is nice and well maintained.
Overall it is hard to recommend this place.response / report this review
