Beautiful and quiet, well preserved, historic Viennese coffee house outside the city center. The café is clean and friendly, albeit, for some reason not very warm and welcoming. Coffee and sweets are good. Savory food is good too. They even have the traditional carambol billiard tables. It is worth a detour!
In 1917 the notorious Vril-Society (Edward Bulwer-Lytton) convened in Cafe Schopenhauer. And yes, I coud literally feel the Vril-Energy.
Super Essen und tolle Location
Can't say if it's any good. It was closed. For two weeks. Would have been nice if that's shown online.
Anytime again. Reasonable prices and a true viennese coffee feeling.
A fantastic old-style Viennese coffee house with very affordable, but fantastic home-made food and great atmosphere, my favorite in Vienna. I have never had trouble finding a table, and it is usually quite here. Vienna's best kept secret?
