Staff rude and unhelpful, had the menus eventually almost thrown at us! Ordered and only 1 drink arrived! Food arrived and again was thrown on the table no apology for forgetting the 2nd drink! Breakfast of scrambled egg on toast was delicious, bill arrived we paid in euros no change was offered the rude waiter just walked away! Wouldn't recommend

excellent quality friendly service. Chocolate "house" cake was absolutely fresh and had a superb consistency, taste and appearance. The coffee was very good quality too. This combination in addition to a nice view of the river Salzach on the Kaffeehaus terrace made for a memorable "Kaffee & Kuchen" experience.

One of THE coffee places in Salzburg with a lovely view. It gets pretty crowded on weekends as the locals often come for breakfast while reading all the newspapers available. Hence there is sometimes some waiting time for a free table. Serves delicious home made cakes.

I was surprised to see such a local crowd at a restaurant highlighted be several travel blogs. This added to its authenticity. As with most restaurants I've experienced in Europe, service is VERY slow; I think this is a cultural difference from North America, so I didn't count it against them. The food was good, and the menu was diverse for the region. Accordingly, the portions were on the small side, so plan ahead if you wanted a "big 'merican breakfast." You'll have to irder several dishes to get that. The location and views are great for starting your sightseeing day off, or stopping in for a relaxing lunch.

Two of the waiters and waitresses are the sweetest on Earth ! The quality is amazing ! The Äpfelstrudel is the best ! So I understand why it's always so crowded ^^ The prices are fine.

I only stopped in for a snack, but what I ordered was pretty good. I only ordered a coffee and sweetbread. The coffee tasted good and the sweetbread came out hot.
