Sadly I have to agree with the previous low rating. The pick up was perfect, polite and professional staff. However the car was wet and parked in a very dark garage. A major scratch on the right of the vehicle was noted on the forms. On return two weeks later I was immediately shocked at the detail of their inspection and the speed with which they found blemishes that a mere mortal would not register. They found a truly miniscule chip on the left of the vehicle and an almost invisible scuff on the bottom of the front bumper. They also claimed that one of the alloy wheels was damaged, they later backed down on the wheel saying it was "in the system" but not marked on the documents. It is really shocking that a European company would behave in this way. Whether or not they finally attempt to charge for these blemishes they have lost any possibility of future custom. I have been a regular renter all over the world for 40 years and have never had an experience like this

Dishonest and criminal operation. As previous reviewers have noted, car is collected from a dark multi-storey car park and in my case the car was soaking wet. On returning the vehicle after an incident free week of driving the vehicle (actually used it very little) the company agent carried out a quick inspection of the vehicle, checked off the minor scratch on the drivers door that was noted on the pre-hire inspection report, and then went straight to a scuff on the front quarter sill that would have been impossible to find in the dark and wet on the first day; funny how he knew exactly where to look! After fruitless protests with the "manager" in the office I had to depart to catch my plane. I have now been charged £555 for the damage!

Very poor service. Cars are located in underground garage where it is not possible to inspect thoroughly. Two members of our party got cars inferior to the type they had paid for. They have since charged us 700 euros for 2 small scratches that they claim we caused although we dispute this. It is a vastly excessive charge but they will not review it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Relatively good service, polite staff. Low end fleet is a bit too low end. Make sure you keep the receipt of the gas in case you fill the car on return. We filled ours to the top but the indicator inside was stuck and we got charged 6euros for a defective indicator that did not show the full tank.

We were disappointed. We booked small car automatic but when we showed up there were no automatic. Only manuals. So we end up having automatic one with double price. And the service guy was not kind much.

Value for money. No problem with the service.
Got the car in Vienna airport.
Service was ok, got automatic bmw 218 wagon instead of the manual passat in the order which was good for me.
In the parking there is no representative .
Car had some scratches that were not marked but there is no one there.
Returned the car in Vienna.
Service was ok and fast. No issues.
Only charged for additional 35€ as car wasn't returned to the airport

Do Not Use Buchbinder Vienna for Car Rental - I rent a car that was given to me with a terrible smell of cigarettes. At the check in they offered me an automatic car not manual as I ordered, eventually they charge 90 euro for it. When I returned the car they search deeply for damages and because they can't found anything they started to examine the inside of the car. Eventually they decided that it needed a deep cleaning and charge me 120 euro for it. They also offer a service at the check in that offer you to return the car without filling the gasoline tank,they said they will charge according to the litter. Eventually they charge me for 80 euro without any connection to the litter of gasoline that they were putting.
Don't rent from them.

Einer der besten vermieter. Bekam ein kostenloses upgrade auf einen opel insignia und das personal war super freundlich. Fesche Mädchen die auch noch Ahnung von Autos haben. geht's besser ? nein bis zum nächsten mal.

Weil die eine Kundenbetreuerin korrekt ist aber nicht herzlich ist. Sie ist gelangweilt und gibt nicht freiwillig Information die ein Kunde brauchen könnte. Hinterher weiss sie besser. :-\ Da ich schon öfters ein Auto gebucht habe bei Buchbinder kenne ich mich ein bisschen aus. Dass man ausserhalb Bürozeiten nicht online buchen kann finde ich es ein Minuspunkt.

Kompetent, freundlich, guter Autovermieter. Manchmal könnten die Autos etwas mehr Ausstattung vertragen, trotzdem aber 5 Sterne.

Zu den vorherigen Negativen Rezensionen: Immer!!! bei der Autoüberprüfung gemeinsam kontrollieren. Insbesondere bei der Abholung. Jeden kleinsten Kratzer vermerken lassen.
