great viennese coffee, adquate restaurant, a little pricy
Set at a busy intersection of local roads and rail. It was a great place to stop off and dine on my way back to my apartment. Good food and good service what more do you need.
Good food and friendly staff
I've had the WORST EXPERIENCE in this restaurant. I was ripped off. Here's what happened: I came to the restaurant and ordered soup, juice and coffee which should have cost 9.2 €. The soup arrived and waitress put basket filled with some bread on the table. I assumed the bread was free as the waitress didn't say anything. I finished my food and asked for the bill. This is where the shock came: the bill indicated 15,60 €. I looked over it and called the waitress to ask what the hell was going on. That's when she told me bread was not free. Basically, I paid close to 5€ for 3 small pieces of bread. That's not where it ends, waitress also brought me big glass of juice I did not order that was 2 € more expensive than regular one I wanted. But wait, THAT IS NOT ALL, as the cherry on top of cake, waitress did not even give me my change as she assumed it was tip. At this point, I was done with this place, these people and rip off that happened to me in the middle of Vienna. Follow my advice and never come here.
It was terrible, had to pay for bread and that was not stated in the beginning. We were waiting for 15 min before even ordering. Worst experience in Vienna. I will never come back, complete rip off.
It is a pleasant place with friendly service. However, sitting outside in summer tends to be very loud
This, of course, is not the fault of the cafe
good quality, but to expensive
Very good food; the tartar beef was very good, and the Oriental hummus plate was fantastic. 4 stars as the prices are a bit steep
Went here while visiting our eldest daughter who is studying at the university, and who is fluent in German and Viennese. Yes, some words are different. The waitress managed twice to get the order wrong though the second attempt was only slight in comparison to the first attempt. Her excuse was that she was new. Overall, errors aside, it's OK for a quick stop off, snack etc, though 'quick' the service isn't.
I've been here 10-15 times. Each time I ate here I had a decent experience with good food. This time was different. After I ordered, a basket of bread was set at my table. The waitress did not say anything about it. Being from the states, I assumed that the bread was free, since it was on the table. I asked for a pad of butter. I was charged for the roll I ate and the pad of butter. When the bill came, I saw the charges and explained to the waitress that I was not told the roll or the butter would be extra. She asked, "do you want me to pay for it?" (sarcastically) I said I wanted to speak to a manager and that I would pay for the roll and butter, but if I did, I would never come back. She went away for a moment, I saw her talking to the manager who then darted in the back. My waitress told me the manager was not available🙄. I repeated that I would pay for the roll and butter, but if I did, I would not be back. She said she understood So I paid the tab and left. I will never be back. I'm not surprised that something like this happened, it is a different country and the service industry it wasn't much money, but it was just bad business. I hope it was worth the €3
Good place for breakfast or lunch. Moderate prices, good and fast service. Good coffee. If it's full inside the noise level gets quite high, which makes it possible to speak to persons on your table without the other table hearing everything, which I like.
