A charming, family run hotel in a tiny town in the hills above Innsbruck. Rooms were clean and spacious, and staff were unfailingly friendly and welcoming. We liked it so much here that after our first night we asked to extend our stay, which they were delighted to do.

This hotel exceeded our expectations by far. The best thing about it hotel is the combination of everything : the stunning views of mountains, valleys, typical Austrian villages and the Church from the room,balcony,restaurant and breakfast room+ welcoming, friendly and caring staff+authentic Austrian food (potato salad is highly recommended)+ decor of restaurant+ rooms. The hotel is easy to reach by public transport, there is a bus stop right outside it which takes you to Innsbruck town centre in 20minutes and the bus stop right outside the railway station which is very handy if you planning for a scenic day trip to Germany (Mittenwald is highly recommended).Yes, I will be going back there again, very soon.

Lovely historical hotel near Innsbruck. The room was basic and clean. The hotel was charming. The owners were very easy to talk with about the history in the hotel.

The owners and staff are so welcoming at the Barenwirth. We were a party of 20 plus and the food arrived swiftly, was good value and delicious. The views from the breakfast room was breathtaking and beyond compare. The bedrooms were a little dated but quite charming. Being British, our party missed the kettle, tea and coffee in the bedrooms but I think not having one is the norm in some European countries. We do like a cuppa before we get up in the morning! We will definitely come again. :)

Hotel Bar is a wonderful, family oriented hotel. It is not in the center of Innsbruck but the breathtaking view of the Alps from your hotel window is worth it. It is only about 20 minutes by bus from Innsbruck. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. They took personal care of us. We will be back in this hotel with my entire family.
