  Even though there are bigger libraries out there in the world, all of the Viennese public libraries are fantastic, especially for children with all those books, magazines, movies and music. But the main public library here, is a child's dream come true. So many books, even for the very small, to browse through. All that in a very pleasant atmosphere with very helpful service. And, as you would expect, they do have a large selection of international newspapers. It can get quite loud at times, though they provide earplugs Opening hours are very restrictive!

  It's an ok library to study at. Gets pretty noisy with kids screaming and running around sometimes. People talk at full volume when they walk through. Take ear plugs if you don't want to be distracted although even the librarians can be heard through the ear plugs.
