The place is cozy an warm. Could do with better cleaning and.use fixing some issues like a bathroom door that can slide off the rails and.use a bathroom light that won't turn off. A bit of tape on the floor on the 2nd floor just before the door to the lift area as I tripped over it several times. Apart from that a nice friendly little hotel. It's a lite walk into the town about twenty minutes or catch a tram at the end of the road which takes about 4 minutes. Loads to do in Innsbruck an for the price of the room £47.50 I paid can't complain. I got the business room so not sure if that's why we got one free WiFi code as I've seen a lot of reviews saying WiFi is €5 per device per day. I just used my phones mobile network. It was faster and was free as it uses my normal data as it would back in England.
Fine hotel of you are on a through-trip. Nothing fancy but a decent breakfast and great view of the mountains.
Clean room but you have to pay 5€ for the WiFi only for one device
Rooms are a bit small, but cozy. Breakfast has everything you might want. Place is not too crowded and staff is very helpful.
Really wish I would have read the reviews before booking this hotel. I'll give it two stars for how clean it was and location, even though I wish it was closer to old town. The hotel is located 5+ blocks from the main train station, just take Tram #3 to Ambras from the station, get off on Dr. Glatz Strasse stop and from there you go straight off the platform and the hotel is 2 blocks away on the right hand side.
My husband and I got to the hotel around 8pm and the concierge was totally clueless and wasn't expecting us (we booked through Expedia and had the email confirmation pulled up to show him), after finally figuring everything out we asked about the wifi, he told us it was 5€ per device per day for the daily password to get it in our room, but if we bought breakfast (15€ per person) it would be free, there is free wifi in the lobby. We got the combo deal, got situated in room (after taking 5 minutes to figure out how to turn the lights on - you have to put the room key in a slot and then they lights will turn on 🙄), and then got logged into the wifi. Turns out the wifi doesn't work in your room unless you're standing right next to the hallway door. And who wants to do that?
When I was showering with the water at a normal heat, the water would turn into burning, scolding water. This happened to my husband as well. After getting dried off in the shower I stepped down into a small lake of water on the bathroom floor. The swinging door of the shower has no seal so the water leaks out. The bathroom lights are motion censored, so you can't stand in one position too long. They also came on a lot during the night when we were both in bed.
We woke up the next morning and got down to breakfast by 7:30, it runs from 6:30-10am, everything was already picked over, it's the usual European breakfast with a side of eggs and bacon, and let's just say it was meh - so breakfast wasn't even worth it either. Lesson learned, don't get the combo deal.
When we returned after exploring Innsbruck all day we got to our hotel room door and our room key wouldn't work, my husband had to go all the way back down and the concierge had to make us a new one which took 10 minutes.
If you don't care about wifi or way over priced not so great breakfasts then this place is great!
Pros about the hotel:
-The hotel is located by a restaurant called Franky's Imbiss that's DELICIOUS (if you don't stay here go there, the hamburgers are as big as your face!).
-Right next to Franky's is a Billa market, we got breakfast food from here that cost 5€ for two people.
Good facilities, nice hotel
Rude unhelpful staff and poor facilities. They couldn't have been less helpful if they tried, parking was dreadful and the food was worse. If I have a choice I will never stay there again.
Nice hotel, the rooms are clean, the bed for the double room is a bit small for two people though.
Nice and affordable hotel for a short stay, business single rooms are small but OK if you don't have a lot of luggage, perfect for my purposes. A bit outside the center. Good breakfast.
