A simple restaurant near the pier with the lighthouse. Not very crowded in the afternoon, even with outside seatings. Meals are delicious but a little bit more salty. Ice cream desserts are fantastic and well arranged. Staff is friendly but expect waiting unless you raise your hand.

Als wir im Hotel angekommen sind hat es etwas gedauert bis wir die Zimmerschlüssel bekommen haben. Die Chefin hat sich persönlich um uns gekümmert. Die Zimmer waren Strassenseitig, was ich sehr schade gefunden habe. Abendessen hatten wir in der Pizzaria ( direkt im Haus) gutes Essen allerdings nicht ganz billig und es hat etwas gedauert.

Frühstück welches wir als Hotelgäste hatten war finde ich sehr gut da es ein Buffet gab und wir uns direkt die Sachen nehmen konnten. Zahlen mussten wir dann 3 Geschäfte weiter. Es hat sich herausgestellt dass da einige Lokale dem selben Besitzer gehören. Leider hat das ausdrucken der Rechnung 15 Min gekostet. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden. Allerdings war das alles in der Nebensaison. Keine Ahnung wie es in der Hautsaison aussieht.

Das Essen war OK., gehobene Preise macht die zentrale Lage, schockierend war - gleich nach dem wir fertiggegessen haben, kam Kellner mit eine Frage , ob wir uns noch etwas wünschen (1/5 l Karaffe Weißwein und 3/4 l Mineralwasser am Tisch, noch kaum etwas davon getrunken) die haben wir verneint- "dann können Sie bitte zahlen?"- quasi - raus bitte, die nächsten! Auf dieses Lokal werden wir künftig verzichten.

We visited Al Faro in August 2016. Service was average. Ate pizza, salad and tomato soup. Soup was the worst of them. Pizza and salad was average. Taste not much bad and also not much very good.

Went there for late dinner. Had the pizza but I wouldn't recommend it. Service slow, staff unfriendly. When paying the bill we were advised/told that no gratuity was added to the bill and that the staff would appreciate if we left something!!
In Austria, in most cases the service is included but is not mentioned in the bill.

We have been there only for breakfast - never again. There were only a few other guests, but the service was slow, unfriendly and just terrible. We were not allowed to sit inside despite the wind and plenty of empty tables, just because we were only eating here and not hotel guests. We ordered the "classic Frühstück" and wanted to have mocha instead of the included cappuccino. Despite being equally priced, the waiter wanted an extra charge. The 7.50€ "Premium Frühstück" was also a joke for just one bun with some slices of ham and cheese. This restaurant is just a rip-off for tourists - avoid it!
