I love this place. Great local craft beer, great dishes to compliment it with. It's a bit noisy and crowded, but that's because it's popular. Upstairs is non-smoking area and downstairs is a smoking area. They have great Pretzels and amazing ribs :)

Great spot! Would recommend for dinner and drinks. Good selection on the menu and friendly staff. They were very busy. We had to wait a few mins for a table on a Tuesday.

First of all, big crowded place. Make sure you make reservations. The staff is really nice. Food is decently priced. I highly recommend the habanero hot wings. Awesome. Also (actually foremost) really good craft beer. There aren't a lot of places in Vienna that are at this level. As a beergeek I recommend this spot.

If you are looking for craft beer in Europe, look no further!! This tucked-away craft beer brewery is a breath a fresh hops. They brew all their own craft beers and have a really cool vibe. Sit inside if you're trying to catch a sports game or avoid the rain. We sat outside and the waitresses were extremely nice and helpful. We didn't eat but the menu was full of affordable Austrian bar food that I will definitely be eating during my next visit. The ambiance and decor are perfect for a relaxing break from exploring the city with friends. I highly recommend!

It's one of my favourite places in Vienna to go with a large group of friends. Super relaxed atmosphere and great beers. The food is American style and everything I have tried so far was delicious. Can recommend the Louisiana fried chicken burger and the ribs.

Best unfiltered beer tasted in Viena. Corn feed chicken with rice is tasty and not expensive. Service is very kind. Possibility to ask for a 1.5l beer

In a city with not too many pubs this is an oasis where the beer is great, staff are very friendly and helpful even although the pub was packed with diners and drinkers. If you are not a smoker then perhaps this venue would not suit as it seemed that every second person had a cig on the go at any given time and is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Seemed a very popular meeting place for locals.

Jacqueline your service cannot be recommended enough, when I was hungry you fed me, when I was thirsty you gave me tap water, when I needed a bed you gave me a small scratchy blanket and let me curl up in the staff cupboard. I promise I'll pay you back when I get back on my feet, but until then may this review suffice.

Made it to 1516 on the first night while visiting Vienna. Brews were on point. Food was also on point. The location off a side street from a main pedestrian walkway makes it easily accessible. West of the location is a nice second hand store for you ladies out there, pretty good find! We tried a few of the brews all great. For the food we had a fried chicken burger and 1516 burger. Again all good. the service is fair and informative. For those of us that are non smokers, its a quick and easy flight upstairs to get away from the smoke.

Was surprised at first walking in as the first floor bar is the smoking area. Normal for the area, but a surprise coming from the States. Went upstairs to eat and had the waitress suggestion of spare ribs. Delicious! The restaurant brewed beer was fantastic as well. Great place to meet with friends for dinner/drinks or just drinks. Informal atmosphere.

1516 was a cool bar that was recommended by a friend. It was an awesome bar with a good selection of craft beers on draft as well as many pages of bar foods and other bottled beers. We were there for some after dinner drinks and stuck with the draft beers, all of them locally brewed by 1516. All the beers we tasted by 1516 were solid and they offered them in four sizes. .1L, .25L, .4L, and 1.5L pitchers. The bar was cool with low lighting and random decorations on the wall. The upstairs was smoke free and the down stairs was smoking. It was a pretty large place and even then we were lucky to get a seat without a reservation. Great beer, great atmosphere, we'll be coming back next time we're in Vienna.
