Good food and lovely ocean view. Beach is one of the nicest on island. They have kayaks and paddle boards available for rent.

Sunday lunch has a Samoan style buffet.

I really liked Sadie's by the Sea and would stay there again.

Staff: helpful, cheerful problem solvers that helped make my vacation a success. Friendly welcoming staff.

Rules: Sadie's has quiet hours rules which were observed. My sleep was never disturbed and I was fresh and ready to go the next morning because of it.

Rooms: Showing their age but still comfortable. Not quite as attentive to detail as accustomed to stateside. You may need to do a little touch up. For example there was dirt build up on the lid of my garbage can. Be creative to get hot water for your shower, I took mine after my beach time. Kitchenette had microwave, fridge, utensils, dishes, and dish soap. I prewashed to make sure I didn't get a pre-licked fork or spoon. Large screen Cable TV available. AC, desk, side tables, dresser, and ample lighting. I wish there were screens on the patio/balcony doors so I could have had an evening breeze. My balcony roof leaked pretty bad so I had to go in when it rains but I reported it. Could be due to Gita damage.

Beach: the tanks across the way are mostly septic/sewage treatment. The water is clear but be aware that the treatment plant isn't far and the current runs toward the beach, evidenced by floating objects (coconuts, water bottles) floating over. Many different fish right off the beach are thriving in a healthy coral reef with excellent viewing. Turtles rest among the coral. Beach combing is fun as there are many types of seashells, you might even find a sand dollar, but exercise some caution as the ocean can offer some unusual presents. Recommend parent supervision in combing activities.

Restaurant: typical bar food, nothing that knocked my socks off. Would like to see some more interesting offerings. Fish is served as fillet without the head, reuben with only a dash of kraut -could hardly tell it was there. Very friendly and attentive servers in an outdoor setting, perfect for a breeze on a warm night.

Pool: modest size, the kids using it were having a lot of fun. Not big enough for a water slide but enough to get relief from the heat.

If you need something posh and perfect this place is not for you. If you need a comfortable place to stay with friendly people eager to help your visit be amazing, this place may just do the trick.

Nice place, great view from our room, just a few steps and you are on the beach, kids love easy access to the beach, restaurant was excellent, staff very friendly. It is an old place but the new owner renovated and kept it fairly clean. Wifi was great but bottleneck is the carrier WAN link. Card key access for the rooms. It was almost completely full capacity the four days that we stayed. They keep inventory of the items in the room and will charge for any missing items.

Only commenting on the restaurant. Food is good and prices well for a hotel. Open later than other area stops and the staff is very good.

Love everything about this place but wish their front desk was open 24hrs. Sometimes you need help late at night but no one is around but just the security guard.
