Beautiful surroundings great hike, slippery when wet but quite the accomplishment when achieving reaching the top or end. One of the greatest trails in American Samoa

It was a good trail, very wide. Hiked on Nov 19th, 2017. It was around 85* F and 90% humidity. It was hot, so bring at least 3 liters of water if you plan to hike. The trail is muddy and slippery because it rained the night before. BTW, Nov and Dec are the rainy months, so be prepared to get wet.
It took me 1hr 25 min to get to the top, about 3.7 miles to the top.response / report this review -

Jeep trail to the top of Mt. alava. Ends with a fantastic view of Pago Harbor. Expect about two hours up and an hour and a half back.
