Beautiful hotel in need of updates. The hotel has unique architectural elements and stunning views, but there are some problems. Certain parts of the hotel could use some refreshing, particularly the exterior. The rooms literally have no ventilation, no ac and, because of the large windows, get very warm in the summertime. The only way to really cool them off is to open both the exterior door and the hallway door to allow cool air to flow through the room - acceptable, but it diminishes privacy. Perhaps the most unforgivable flaw is that there is a nearby alarm system that goes off repeatedly overnight, once or twice an hour, for five minutes at a time and, because of the aforementioned ventilation issue, the exterior door must remain open to keep the room cool. I didn't come all the way to the Angostura to be awoken by nuisance alarms in the night. I don't know whether the alarm belongs to the hotel or another nearby building, but hotel management should absolutely have it fixed or require the owner to have it fixed because it is negatively impacting their guests.

Extraordinary views, timeless decor, obliging staff, lovely food, clean and comfortable - they have thought of everything! I cannot fault a single aspect except to note that she may be showing a little wear on the exterior - probably due to climate. Honestly - this is heaven ♥️

Great hotel, beautiful view, friendly staff, very warm indoor/outdoor pool, close to town. Had a wonderful time at this hotel.

Es un lugar maravilloso. Muy cálida la atención del personal del hotel. Vista inigualables del lago y las montañas. Las habitaciones muy cómodas bien equipadas y aseadas. Todo el hotel es muy confortable y con detalles muy buen gusto. La piscina y los saunas excelentes. Para recomendar!

Hotel agradável. Oferece o que se propõe. Arquitetura interessante, piscina aquecida interna/externa bastante boa. Café da manhã sem requintes. Poderiam dispensar a cobrança do café latte, já que não oferecem qualquer diferencial. Restaurante bom, a preço adequado. Limpeza boa.

Excelente la atención, el lugar muy limpio y muy bien decorado. A mi parecer le falta un gimnasio y algunos detalles como cafetera en la habitación. Es recomendable alquilar un coche ya que esta alejado unos 15 cuadras del centro.

El hotel más conveniente de la zona, con una excelente relación precio-calidad. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, la limpieza es impecable, el baño es grande y nuevo. El balcón es enorme y la vista es imponente hacia el lago Nahuel Huapi y la Cordillera de Los Andes, el detalle es que los más grandes son compartidos aunque hay una división hecha con cercos de plantas autoctonas. El desayuno es simple pero cada porcion o producto elaborado es muy rico y vale la pena provar todo. La pileta climatizada conectada con el exterior y el restaurant de calidad internacional donde elaboran platos exquisitos con productos locales hacen de este lugar indispensable para la agenda de quien se hospeda en la Patagonia. Nos vemos en invierno!

I have regularly traveled to Argentina, but this was my first trip to the Andes. I picked Sol Arrayan because of the stellar reviews here and it still exceeded my expectations. The hotel is staged along a decline so the lobby, restaurant, pool (indoor/outdoor!), and rooms have absolutely breathtaking views. I can't footstomp that enough. Every time I looked outside I was greeted with a calm lake, deep forests and majestic snow-capped mountains. It was unreal. You'll need a car to get to the town, restaurants, slopes, etc, but there is no place I'd rather stay at when visiting Villa La Angostura. Don't miss it!
