This place is now called Siete Cocinas. We stumbled upon the restaurant in February 2018 looking for dinner and not really wanting anything fancy but that is exactly what we got. We didn't regret it as we had an amazing and unexpected food experience here.
To start, they offered 3 or 4 different types of amazing bread. The wine that the main chef suggested was super good. Then came the starters consisting of chorizo, empanadas, and pumpkin with honey and cheese. For the main course we had the ojo de bife and patagonian trout. Everything was absolutely delicious.
The owner/chef came to speak with us and you could see the passion he had for Argentinean food and you could taste this in what we were served.

Favorite place in Mendoza! Love the bar and small plates. So happy they brought back Siete Cocinas! Truly wonderful people and amazing food.

We found this place by living on Mitre street. From outside you can see it is a place with a lot of style and character.
It’s not on the main street, but it’s positive as it’s not mainstream neither touristic.
The atmosphere is very good inside the restaurant, the waiters are very nice and helpful, and the food is just marvelous!
It’s a mix of tastes, original but excellent choices, and very good cocktails.
Everything for a very decent price, comparable to the other restaurants, but you pay for the food and for the experience, and not for the mainstream place.

A refreshing change in Mendoza. A thoughtful selection of tapas paired with interesting cocktails. It's a great place for a relaxed meal in a beautiful setting.

Amazing food and great atmosphere. Pablo, the owner, sat with us for most of our meal and had great stories and insight into the evolving Mendoza food and wine scene. Very memorable experience!

Friendly staff (though they rushed us a bit to finish!); amazing food. Wine and cocktails are great. Meals are well worth the prices! .UPDATE: We returned 2 years later & they now only serve a set menu. Such a shame because we wanted to pick and choose from the abundant dishes previously on the menu, only to find this was no longer possible. Still excellent service.

Outstanding restaurant that celebrates all Argentinian cuisine whilst throwing a few surprises at you. The food was a joy, the local wines were well paired and the setting itself was beautifully relaxed. We were looked after from start to finish by the owner and his friendly staff who took pleasure in telling us all about each course. We could not have asked for more.

After living in Mendoza for 5 years, eating here is always an exceptional experience! The quality and execution is unparalleled in regards to price.
Chef Pablo Del Rio and the Siete Cocinas team have developed one of Mendoza's top culinary destinations. Just order the 16 hr. braised goat or Mollejas (sweetbreads)or the tasting menu.you'll understand!
As a sommelier and chef, I enjoy the high-level hospitality/service, thoughtful wine list (good pricing too!), and exceptionally executed and delicious dishes that represent the 7 culinary regions of Argentina using seasonal local bounties.
