We went to "El Tano" in our latin america trip, the place is overcrowded by middle to lower class Argentines who seems to really enjoy the dynamics of the restaurant, the greasy food and even the long waiting lines! However, for us the experience was not quite good as the locals, the place is in a dangerous neighborhood, the food (mostly meat) is super greasy and low quality (even though, some cuts are tasty), people (mostly blue collars) are really unmannered (burping, picking their nose, loud, etc), the place overall is dirty, stinky and uncomfortable.

First time going to a "Parilla" in Argentina. Really casual no-frills experience, but you definitely don't walk away hungry! You sit down and order your drink, and then the food keeps coming until you are bursting at the seams.

Make sure you make reservations, as the place gets really packed.

Another legendary Parilla or steak restaurant, this one located in the big southern suburb of Avellaneda. Prepare for huge lines and an equivalent waiting time on almost any day of the week, but it's mostly worth it.
