  Great coffee shop and restaurant. A nice surprise to Puerto Rican visitors, who would have never expected to find the name of their island being shared with a restaurant. Considered by the city's government as a place of cultural interest, La Puerto Rico has been in business since the mid 1800's and it is said to have been own an Argentinian entrpreneur that was impressed then quality and flavor of Puerto Rican coffee. Nice place specializing in local cuisine and, of course, coffee.

  The place has a lot of character and friendly staff, but don't expect great food or good value. You pay for the charm.

  Every other restaurant was closed or closing I hadn't eaten since breakfast, the temperature is 90+, and the waiter is friendly and speaks a little English.
  
  The food is simple but tasty. I was happy to visit and eat here.
