Beautiful hotel with distinguish interior decoration and great location, in front of a Subway station and close to major touristic spots. The rooms don't have lockers and the bathrooms are quite small. The breakfast is ok for Argentinean​ standards. The orange juice is not fresh and they don't offer any kind of fresh fruits.

What a fabulous hotel! It is a newly renovated old hotel that has kept the structure but reworked the interior in a striking way.
Rooms are spacious because they have lofts. Most have lovely views onto one or both of two of Buenos Aires' most delightful and important avenues.
The hotel also has plenty of public space around the lobby, including an area with sofas and computers available (useful if you want a keyboard or monitor bigger than your phone's).
Breakfast is very good and is half a flight down from the lobby in a welcoming open space that guests can use at other times to eat food brought in from elsewhere or to chat or play cards or games.
Finally, the hotel is also a museum, with period antiques throughout and the entire basement dedicated to "archaeological" finds made during renovations.
The staff couldn't be friendlier, and more helpful. We returned to find a fairly valuable earring on a pillow on the bed. The staff had unearthed it making the bed.
And, of course, you couldn't ask for a better location. A metro (the system is called "Subte," for subterranean, in BA) station entrance is immediately outside the front door to the hotel-- a stone's throw for a two year old away.
The only downsides to consider are: 1) Having to walk up a staircase to get to the bedroom and, sometimes, bathroom; and 2) Even with two sets of windows, the rooms that have a view on 9 Julio are characterized by fairly steady-- if muted-- noise from crowds and cars.
La Fresque is hard to beat, though. I won't even bother considering anywhere else next time I'm looking for a place in Buenos Aires.response / report this review -

This hotel features a retro ambience. The price is reasonable and the room is commensurate to the price. Breakfast is included and is so-so. The entrance of the hotel is small and on the side street with stairs to go up.

Ficamos nesse hotel, que foi totalmente restaurado.
Foi construÃdo por volta de 1885 e permanece tal qual sua inauguração.

Lo bueno: La atención del personal muy buena. El hotel es antiguo, si les gusta este estilo de hoteles la van a pasar muy bien, hay objetos antiguos por todos lados van a admirar la arquitectura, escaleras de maderas antiguas. Etc. la ubicación está espectacular. Lo malo es qué hay mucho polvo creo que es propio de los pisos y paredes de la época. Las habitaciones tienen la cama en el segundo piso y el baño abajo lo cual genera un poco de disconfort pero se aguanta. Hay habitaciones de un piso deben pedir.

Bien ubicado e higiénico, pero no me gustó la habitación para nada. El techo no tiene cielorraso, se ven los ladrillos. Habitación oscura e incómoda porque la cama está subiendo escaleras y el baño abajo.

Excelente lugar, buena atención, muy buena vista desde la ejecutiva 206 pero no anda el aire, estuve tres dÃas y no lo repararon, ni vieron pero el fresco de estos dÃas hizo de que se sobrellevara

Hotel básico, a localização excelente, metrô na mesma calçada do hotel. Só faltou um frigobar no quarto standard. O resto tudo OK.
