I liked to rent the bike here. The bikes are really good maintained, the breaks works great, you get a helmet and a locker for the bike. The instruction was good the guy gave me many tips where I need to stop. Don't miss to go to Lago Escondido, Mirrador al Cerro Capilla, Cervecería Patagonia (great!) And punto panoramíco.
A little tip. Wgen you go for the cerveceria look that you are not dehydrated. If yes drunk a bottle of water before because after that you need to bring the bike back and you've to made the last hill 😂
One day costs you 450 ARS (USD 22.50). ON other placea close there you pay for the same 600 ARS or more.

After corresponding with Daniel through e-mail, my wife and I met Daniel in San Martin. Along with 2 excellent road bikes and safety vests, a small snack table with bananas, gatorade, and trail mix prepared us for our 3 day bike trip to Bariloche along the Route of the Seven Lakes. He instructed us as to what to expect for the ride and during periods of heavy traffic, either shuttled us to areas of less traffic or drove behind us. We stayed at wonderful inns at Rio Hermosa and Villa Angostura and each morning Daniel arrived promptly and got us on our way. Felt totally safe and comfortable with Daniel, plus he was a wonderful guy!! Highly recommend.

Since it's the slow season I arrived without a reservation around noon and they still had bikes available at 350 pesos for the day until 7pm when he closed. The bike I had was in very good condition and handled the paved and gravel roads I took without incident. The guy who helped me spoke English, German, and Spanish. I was traveling by myself, so he was very helpful in suggesting places I might enjoy based on my interests and suggesting a place to eat. I took all his suggestions and they were all worth the stops and hikes.

We rented a couple of mountain bikes to ride the Circuito Chico. The bikes were really good quality - the best we've rented in South America (admittedly that's not saying much). The bike had full Shimano components & hydraulic disk brakes. They were very well maintained & worked perfectly.

The staff were very helpful too.

For our 10days trip across the Andes to Chile, we had a very helpful description of the routes to follow from Daniel: this was decisive in discovering parts of that region of Patagonia, that otherwise we would not have (probably) found.

Renting price was OK, 25euros/day per bike including helmet, spares and panniers (we rented for 10days in a row). Nevertheless the quality of the bikes was a bit poor: in fact during our 10days trip we had continuosly issues with the gears (on both bikes), and a chain got broken after 150kms. The tool to fix the chain "chaintool" (which was provided in the "spares") did not work as the "pusher" part was tilted and could not be used to fix the chain. It's not nice when these things happen and you are in Patagonia.

Overall a good place if you want to rent your bike for a day trip, less interesting if you need reliable material for longer tours.

One of several bike rental businesses in the area. They have a drop-off (or maybe second shop) closer to Bariloche since this may be out of your way if you are staying in or closer to the city.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The shop isn't as busy as Circuito Chico Mountain Bike and is basically adjacent.

The lower end bikes are overall decent (good disc brakes, average front suspension with lock out, poor low-end shifting) and in good working condition. If you are a stickler, I would test the shifting before going out. For the purpose of biking Circuito Chico (highly recommended), they are more than adequate and in reality you could do this circuit with a road bike faster since it is completely paved (unless you cut through Colonia Suiza, which is dirt road). The price for the bike rental was slightly lower (~US$ 1) than Circuito Chico Mountain Bike.

I cannot comment on the high end bikes, however, the price was more than double and likely have full suspension and better shifters. If you are going to do some serious single track or downhill in the area, these are likely the better option.
