Great place for wine tasting and gourmet food

We only had the chance to eat at the restaurant and it was perfect! They warmly welcomed us, food, wines and service were excellent. The winery is also open for visit and definitely worth it!

We wanted to get a nice quick bite on our third and last meal at Mendoza before heading to the airport. We had had breakfast at the finca where we stayed and we had had 2 full days of “pasos” meals. The webpage and the confirmation email said we could have “menu a la carta” or “menu de pasos”, which is obviously more expensive. When we got there we were told somewhat rudely that a la carta was not possible. Because of the misunderstanding we were allowed to avoid the starter and go directly to the main course. We were given a “degustación” of an olive oil, really very little amount in which to dio some bread. We had the trout and the rabbit capelettis. The trout was well cooked really, not at all dry, but the potatoes that came along were somewhat dull. The capelettis were fine. We were offered wine by the glass but were not told how much they were so that we could take that into consideration when we made our choice. The dessert, queso y dulces, wasn’t very good though bigger than the dishes. We were told that the quesos included Brie, parmesano and morbier (they either don’t know what morbier is or they forgot to place it on the dish), and some jammed fruits. The pistachos added up a bit, but there was some sort of dry cake that was no good. Don’t quite recommend it. We payed AR$1,100 for the described + 2 glasses of chardonnay that were ok, not wonderful.
