In 1901, Robert Leroy Parker (Butch Cassidy), Harry Longabough (Sundance Kid), and Etta Place (Girlfriend of Sundance) purchased a 12,000 acre (4850 hectares) ranch near Cholila. They lived at the ranch until 1905. The buildings are still intact but in need of some repair.
The local people knew them as James Ryan (Butch) and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Place (Sundance and Etta). It's located just a few hundred meters off RP 71.
