Cute, compact, friendly airport. Duty free shop is not cheap. Better to buy candies and drinks outside airport. But if you need more alkohol to buy its better to buy in duty free because duty free bags are not luggage:)

Very nice airport. Everything is organised, though staff/officers may sometimes be a little harsh to some tourists especially those who may have a language barrier. Most officers and staff know English, Russian and Persian fluently. Airport does get busy during Summer and winter breaks. I hope they plan to open a second terminal since air travel is increasing rapidly and tourist numbers are rising.

The airport is clean and neat, it is incredible given Armenia is a poor and tiny country. Credit to overseas Armenians! They have made a incalculable contribution to your motherland. The staff are also very nice and cheap government run airport bus just outside the exit. Avoid taxi at all costs.

Neat and clean airport. I travelled with a group of 50 people from Dubai. The overall experience was good. Being a tourist country you expect the people to be welcoming. However, the good looking people at the visa counter and passport control were missing the welcoming smile and were rude to few of my colleagues. If you have travelled to Azerbaijan in the past by any chance, expect few rounds of extra questions at the passport control.

I visited here last week. On arrival visa for UAE resident passport holders. Need to pay 3000Dram for the visa. They will only accept "Dram". need to exchange from the airport. There is no proper instruction given about this. So, everyone was waiting for emigration q. And once we reached on the emigration counter, they will ask for "Dram" then need to go exchange counter, change money, then again stand on that emigration q. I took two and half hours to finish this.
There are few taxi drivers outside ( i reached there at 2am). They will ask 20,000-30,000 for city hotels, but actually its only around 5,000-7,000. so be careful.
There is a good duty-free shop, that we can buy, good quality wines at a reasonable price.response / report this review -

Airport is big and comfortable. There is a good duty-free, smoking room and few coffee places. You can seat with coffee and enjoy view of Ararat.

Its probably the best airport in the former USSR. Service is good, facilities are new, clean. Airport is spacious and traveller friendly. Որ սովորեցնեին սահմանապահներին բարևին պատասխանել ավելիլավ կլիներ:

Beautiful new airport. Good WiFi connection, duty free, and lounge. Pro-tip: walk outside the airport to get a better deal on taxis- you should pay no more than 3,000 drams.

Nice, new airport. The only negative experience was the taxi driver. So watch out with the prices and try to have a lift organized upfront. Local, Armenian people are happy to help you.

Nice airport, the visa people were really nice and friendly, but then the passport control ruined everything, stay clear from that giant alien looking blonde Sasquatch woman, rudest person I've ever met, I've seen friendlier hyenas, avoid her booth. She's capable of ruining your whole vacation, such people shouldn't be allowed to have any interactions with humans.

Not best but a clean and simple one. Staff was rude and almost 80% of them didn't know english (its supposed to be an international airport). They also charge u for trolleys to carry luggage..(i mean what is that). The custom clearance is slow when going out of the airport, gets congested even when there r passengers from 2-3 flights.

My favorite and one of the best airports in the world. Modern, cleen, very easy to find, safe, free Wi-Fi. Just if the officer in arrival be a little kindly, everything will be perfect.

One of my favorite airports in the world. The alcohol section in duty-free is splendid and tempting, whole choice of Armenian acclaimed cognacs, staff is very friendly (especially the border control). 10 out of 10, and it was officially named as best airport in CIS.
