TEDxYSMU is organized by a nonprofit foundation (stichting) driven by volunteers and financially supported by sponsors from the corporate world. The main goal of the foundation is to organize several annual TEDxYSMU events and create a movement around ‘ideas worth spreading'.TEDxYSMU brings people together to share a TED-like experience. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
