Nice monastery, lost in forrest. Looks abandoned.
It is worth a visit. When you going to Tatev monastery, you can make one way with cable-car and other way arround this place by walk.response / report this review -

Exceptionnel. Ce monastère est dans un cadre magnifique. A l'intérieur avons croisé un prêtre vivant là depuis 3 ans en autonomie presque total. Et le monastère est certes vieux mais très bien conservé pour son âge (1659 ?). 2 chemin d'accès au choix. Avons fait celui depuis le pont du diable (prendre à gauche des gorges avec le pont du diable derrière vous) et le passage à gué de la rivière. Un autre est possible depuis Tatev mais 450m de dénivellation négative assez raide à remonter après

I love this place!
It is a hermitage. And a monk (or monks) still live there!
If you do not go to Tatev using the ropeway, you can check this place after or before you visit the Devi's bridge. When you get to Devil's bridge, just turn left and go this way till you reach the river. You have to walk for 15 or 20 minutes along the riverbank till you get to the hermitage.
It is so calm and relaxing to be inside the church. You can see the aerial trams moving and it is fun watching them!response / report this review -
