Hotel is located in a very accessible area in Yerevan. Easing access to almost everything around you. Staffs are polite. Lobby is well decorated. HOWEVER, very old and dirty bathroom, toilet, carpet, furniture. Hotel needs fundamental upgrade and consideration.
Walls, ceiling, pipes squeark.
Breakfast is so simple and the menu is the same every morning.
I will never come back again unless satisfying changes and upgrades happen.
It is really so good food Is good too and sleeping is amazing because any light wasn't in the room and there wasn't any voice and it is so good.😄
Poor Hotel!
*Rooms*
Rooms are the worst part of this hotel. Carpets are not clean, the rooms stink! Bathrooms are congested. Water gets clogged in the shower room in almost every room. I had requested a better room and still there wasn’t any difference!
*Service*
The staff are so bad. The only person friendly and helped us was the housekeeping lady! She deserves a raise! The receptionist considered guests as a burden. She didn't care to smile or even make eye contact while talking. We were stuck in the lift for over 15 minutes and when we asked for an explanation and why no one came to help, she answered saying the lift is like that and she can't do anything about it! She was a darn stubborn lady and her attitude needed fixing. Also there wasn't anyone to help us with our luggage although that is fine.
*Food*
I only had breakfast and it was the same breakfast everyday with little to no difference in the food.
*Important*
WIFI IS VERY BAD. VERY VERY BAD!
Overall the hotel is not worth going to and the location is the only plus side of this place. Easy access and within the heart of Yerevan.
As of now, I think I could have a better choice when the matter of bathroom and room service comes in the way. But truly speaking the area itself offers beauty and history. I even witnessed a very friendly demonstration of students 5 minutes after I checked in to my room. The room is located at the 8th floor but not satisfying. I will update my review before checking out.
Some of the habits are not good-tempered and well-behaved.
But Mr. Gregor is the security guard of the hotel the best and most moral man in Armenia.
Thank you Mr. Gregor and the hotel manager.
Clean room. Great staff. Affordable price.
The internet very bad.
Only 2 Russian TV programs
The bathtub leaking. The bathroom floor cleaned once in a week, only when I asked for. Only Chinese-Turkish equipments and furniture.
I had been a guest for 2 years at Shirak Hotel. We liked this hotel because of the location. However the breakfast needs lots of improvement. They have to provide us with a TOASTER for the bread & a coffee percolator. I HOPE when we come this year you will have the toaster & a coffee percolator. other than that the girls are friendly & we intend to come this year too.
The location is good coz you can just walk 10 to 15 mins to Republic Square and nearby stores and groceries. Wi-Fi had been my only issue coz my room is at the end of the hall and once you're inside, you'll get slow to none. The food served at breakfast was also limited. Same food with a few additions were served. Overall, if you want a quiet and accessible hotel, I'd recommend Shirak.
1. Slim walls guaranties hear everything from your neighbors. ( specialy when there are monkeys from moscow)
2. Brocken windows in number, cold and traffic noise welcome
3. Buget wifi
4. Mostly TV channels freeze
awful. belive me. the worst time of my travel was in Shirak hotel. all the staff was angry and dont try to help us. the room was so small and toilet no include water.
Shirak hotel is TERRIBLE hotel I have ever visited in Yerevan. Even located not so far from city center I never recommend to stay there and spent your day in this boring old building
It`s an old classic hotel. I didn`t take a rest at this hotel.some guests from east europe country(Bosnia & Herzegovina) were drinking alchohol at floor lobby and made noise very loudly that forced me to complaint to front desk. the elevator is bad and very slow. all the things there remember you soviet union era!!!
Could have been cleaner. Not much breakfast variety.
Nice room and very accessible.. nice staff.. enjoy our stay.. love it..
Nothing got any good facilities, just a regular Hotel.
In this price you can get better option near by.
it is not good hotel. the breakfast they serve is totally awful. it is worth mentioning that when wanna have rest in your room, there are a lot of noises coming from the rooms around you! the satuts of you privacy is not also guaranteed. Besides, If you are searching for a hotel with good internet connection, this would not be the best choice. However, It is located in a good area near to the city center of the Yeravan.
(Restaurant review)
Great and not very expensive food. I just love everything about this restaurant starting with the waitress(es) and finishing with yummy food. Looking forward to eating there again❤️❤️❤️👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Amazing view, warm staff, great location.
It was very bad experience ; despit good location, the hotel has very poor services. Poor breakfast Bad astaff attitude .. Room cleaning was not that good and we complained from toilet leak without any care
We asked for extra pillows and they was so slow to answer our need
Internet was weak
In conclusion; not recommended at alllllll
