I Visited Hripsime with OceanAir Travels and I don't know what to say. The best tour guide I’ve ever had. Here you can find the tomb of saint Hripsime and the church is very unique. The tomb is on the left side of the altar.

The atmosphere inside Saint Hripsime Church is dark, musty and mysterious. Make sure to visit the basement to see the tomb of Hripsime.

Довольно большая территория. Красивый храм и снаружи и внутри. Есть городской фонтанчик с питьевой водой. На входе 2-3 человека предлагают что-то купить. Через дорогу находится кладбище.

Saint Hripsime is a very nice place. It is one of the holiest site in Armenia. Here you can find the tomb of saint Hripsime who was one of the 37 virgins who left the Roman Empire for Armenia.
The church is very unique. It has tall niches which save it from earthquakes.
The inside of the church is dark with a single light coming from a window. The tomb is on the left side of the altar.

As a country that first adopted Christianity as national religion, Armenia has a lot of churches whose style is architecturally simple yet religiously scared, a very contrast with those splendid ones in Europe built at the times when the Church became super rich later. (Sep 2012)

A very beautiful little church on the top of a small plateau. In weekends you will see that is it s popular church for weddings. Come and experience an Armenian wedding first hand.
