Wonderful visit. Amazing Royal Tombs. Great view of Mokër. Good to be back after so many years.
P. S. Gradishta (not Grajdishta!)
I believe it would be more appropriate to name this object on the map according to its historic importance..In other web sites it is marked as "Royal Tombs of Selca e Poshtme" or "Ruins of ancient city of Selca e Poshtme.
This object on the map is known by the name Gradishta by the people of village Selca e Poshtme and almost only by them. It refers to the hill, and after 1970-s, in the local lingo, refers to the ruins of ancient city found here as well.
For someone that is not connected to the village this object (hill) is the site of ancient Illyrian city, the city's ruins, or, for some, specifically the site of famous Illyrian Royal Tombs, which are part of the history of ancient city.
The name Gradishta from Bulgarian "location of the castle" refers most likely to Bulgarian conquers acknowledging that a city had been here hundreds of years before their own arrival in early medieval times to Illyrian territory.
