We booked a rafting tour with them via the tourist information center in Berat for €65. Although we did not have the appropriate shoes, we were provided with professional water shoes, which was nice. The mini bus picked us up from the tourist info center at 9.30am. We were joined by 9 Albanians who were on a teambuilding. We started the rafting at about 1pm. The explanation of the rafting was in Albanian with partial translation in English, as were the instructions during the rafting, which was fine. The Osumi canyon is beautiful and worth a visit but the rafting itself was not exciting but rather dull as the river was slow and the guide did not let us find our own way on the river. I think a hiking tour would be a better alternative. Apparently the Vjosa river is better for rafting. After the rafting we had lunch at a local restaurant but the food was not great. We got a rice soup followed by a microwaved piece of chicken and baked potatoes. After lunch we went back to Berat. Overall a nice trip but too bad we were coupled with an Albanian group on a teambuilding (who had a lot of fun but for outsiders not so much) and the food was quite terrible in comparison to the local restaurants in Berat.
Rafting è il primo motivo per il quale tanti turisti stranieri fanno rotta sia verso il Canyon di Osum a Skrapar (a sud-est di Berat), sia verso le acque del fiume Vjosa, nel Përmet. Un' esperienza da non perdere.
Professional staff who made our day! Beautiful wild Vjosa river and welcoming people. Highly recommended!
Worst experience ever. Cancelled our reservation one day before we start the Trip.
