Make sure you bring a shotgun if you are staying in the villas...I am writing this review at 5 AM because the resident rooster has decided it's time to wake up the resort. This has happened each morning of our stay. Management's response was "Yes there have been complaints about the roosters for the last month."

Just returned from a long weekend at the Viceroy, Anguilla and it was beyond… relaxing.

    Check-in/Service:
Absolutely painless, our room was ready when we arrived from the airport. Ameka at the font desk was beyond helpful, and made getting to know our surroundings easy.

    Food/Service:
Dined at Cobá, Sunset Lounge, Bamboo & Aleta (breakfast). All of the food, and especially the service was top-notch! We were a bit weary of dining at the resort, as it is off-season, but we were pleasantly surprised.

    Pools/Service:
    — Sunset deck is incredibly relaxing, and the views are out of this world. Lookout for Alison at sunset pool, she was fantastic, and she was literally there every time anything was needed. (Thanks!)

    — Meads bay pool is (from what we gathered) more for family's and kids. The pool sits right in front of the beach/sand, has water sport rentals, hot tub, and sits right next to the Bamboo restaurant. Jacquelin our attendant was amazing, she (like Alison above) was literally there every time I turned around. (Thanks!)

    — Point house pool looked amazing, but each time we walked by, it was full of loud half drunk adults acting like children. (No thanks)

    SPA/Service:
We ordered a few spa packages, and went through the spa at various times during our stay, the masseuses are VERY good. My only knock, was the sauna was non functional after my massage, which kind of bummed me out. [Tip]: If you order a package online when booking, make sure you call ahead and reserve a spot, we had to wait a day, as they were booked solid the day we arrived. (Not a big deal)

    Grounds/Ambiance:
Absolutely beautiful resort, VERY clean facility's & well kept surroundings. The pool chairs on the sundeck could use a little attention, but beyond that not much else to worry about.

Thanks to the entire staff, everyone was UBER friendly, helpful, and made our much needed weekend for decompressing easy.

I would highly recommend this resort in Anguilla, and we will be back soon!

I was invited to a wedding taking place at the Viceroy and opted to stay there as well. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a jr suite. Our room had a changing area, insanely large bathroom and jacuzzi. The vacation and wedding was so much fun. The hotel set up excursions and other fun activities. The hotel is beyond expensive but well worth it.

The wedding was incredible and was on premise.

Potentially one of the funnest things is the inflatable trampoline they have out in the water. I shall have to go back to jump on it.

I have been going here for the last 6 years I have traveled all over the world and this is in my top 3 favorite place to go every time it gets better. It feels like home. Service great, food great, beach words can not explain how beautiful, houses modern stylish.
Beaches are better than St. Barts.!!!!!!!!!

The Hotel is amazingly beautiful and the food was very good. There service however was poor. If it were not for the poor service then we would definitely go back but probably won't because of the poor service. Some of the employees acted miserable like they did not want to be there. We had to go seek out someone for towels or a drink at the pool half of the time as well and then they acted like we were putting them out. Also the cleaning staff were very inconsistent. We repeatedly asked for coffee for our pot and a few days during our stay would show up for turn down service at almost 10pm which did not work for us as our children were already in bed. It really is a shame as the hotel is beautiful!

The hotel grounds are beautiful, stunning. However, the hotel service was beyond poor.

AT 58% occupancy there were lines for breakfast, towels that were in the bath to be washed were rehung (we tested this after our suspicion was up), and generally we had to wait for anything to happen.

We were there for a wedding paying $420 per night. Here were a few things that I can remember that went wrong:

    1) Taxi pick up - never happened even though we multiple confirmed over email
    2) Towels went unwashed
    3) lines for breakfast were out the door (in the sun)
    4) service in the restaurants were beyond slow
    5) a fitness class started 20 minutes late and they still charged us for it
    6) any drink ordered at their main bar took 30 minutes to get to you
    7) lunch at the beach restaurant took a minimum of 2 hours
    8) service in general was undisciplined

Some people could argue that it's all island time, however when I'm paying $420 a night I expect 5 star service all the time.

Finally, I wrote a note to the manager asking him if he would write a note to me explaining why this was such a problem and I'd appreciate anything he could do on the bill for our room. Not only did I not get any acknowledgement of the issues but I wasn't made aware of any discount.

Side note - while we were there for our friends wedding, we met a couple getting married the next weekend - they had been told 2 weeks prior to their wedding that the space they had booked for their wedding was no longer available as they had double booked!

The hotel is sorely disorganized, management is obviously the problem, the staff are friendly but untrained.

This hotel is amazing and has wonderful views of the ocean. You can get a single room or go for the 5br villa. That is what I stayed in and let me tell you. You will never want to leave unless your just missing the city life. The staff was great service was on point. I felt like I was home with relatives.
