The beaches in Antigua are so beautiful. Spoilt for choice and with the amazing Nelson"s Dockyard there too, it's always a difficult decision what to do during a cruise ship stopover. May have to have a full on holiday on this amazing island. This beach is a favourite of ours.

Everytime the light hit the water, it changed color!

Nice relaxing beach. Water is that beautiful blue that you see in pictures but it is cloudy. Water is also very calm and we enjoyed floating along in it. The beach itself is a little rough on the feet as the sand is very coarse. Other than that it is a wonderful beach to visit as it was not crowded. Beach is about 30-40 min from cruise port and you can find taxis to take you out there. Make sure to set up return time with your driver so you can get back in time. I believe it was $8 per person one way. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented.

I feel a little conflicted writing this review. The beach was in a beautiful location and lounge chairs/umbrellas were pretty reasonably priced. However, as others have mentioned, the sand was coarse and the water visibility was nearly zero. We don't regret going there once just for the setting, but we likely wouldn't go back.

Very scenic but cant be best beach in Antigua. Water color was gorgeous. Visibility was zero- can barely see your hand underwater. Constant barrage of locals selling whatever they were selling. Just approached too many times. Chairs & Umbrella were reasonable ($5-ea. $10 for umbrella) Food & drink was Expensive & bartender was Not friendly nor nice. Large dropoff to get into water 20inches. lots of broken shells. nice sandy beach once out in water. Never to return.
We wanted to go to Darkwood Beach but our Taxi driver "steered" us here. Somewhat Disappointed - but the photos are gorgeous.

Great location. Water was nice and very refreshing. Not as clear as previously stated, but still wonderful.

This is a beautiful beach, probably the nicest I have ever been to. It was busy the day we were there, but no less enjoyable.

Very beautiful beach but gets quickly crowed during the high season. For quitter places other beaches a bit further south are better
