Made a group reservation for 14 people. We arrived on time to be told our reservation wasn't recorded. Had a 2 hour wait as it was NYE and everywhere else was full. Finally got seated and the servers acted like we were a bother. Food was great. Service was horrid.

I've been to Trappas on several occasions and always found it an excellent experience. It's a relaxed environment, with friendly staff and a superb menu.
My most recent trip was for New Year's Eve 2017, and the whole group thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. Again, the menu was excellent and conveniently fixed price for each course (and great value, too).
Given the low ceiling inside, you may want to get a table outside if available. There are fans inside to help keep things cool, though.response / report this review -

Trappas is a great restaurant which is mostly open all year round. They have great appetizers and mains. Never had dessert there though. The food is flavourful, the ambiance is rustic & simple and the service can be hit or miss. Meaning you most likely will be waiting a while for food. I've never had my meal within 45 mins.

Trappas has a cozy atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious and the service is good as well. The portions are generous and the food is reasonably priced. ( on a scale of $ - $$$$ I would give it $$) great place to have dinner or appetisers and drinks and catch up with friends.

This authentic owned and run restaurant will not disappoint, the staff is readily available, the menu was amazing and the food was out of this world! We were told to arrive early and we're glad we did.
