About

The Caribbean Observatory on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights is part of the Regional Spotlight Initiative to End Violence against Women and Girls. It is a key project of CFPA to advance gender justice and equality in the Caribbean and to end violence against women and girls, recognising that this is part of a continuum of gender based violence and includes the violence experienced by persons of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions and sex characteristics living in patriarchal societies. Ending gender based violence includes ending discrimination against non-binary and other persons who do not conform to gender roles; and ending discrimination against LGBTIQ+ people, and that there are intersecting issues which must be addressed.Vision: A Caribbean where the sexual and reproductive health and rights of its people are respected, protected, promoted and fulfilled and family violence is no more. Mission: To advocate for strengthened policy and programmatic linkages between family violence and sexual and reproductive health and rights and promote social monitoring towards the advancement of integrated SRHR in the region.
