They say that home is where the heart is, and there's no place like home! You may be asking, where is this home?
Located in Long Bay, St. Philip's North, on 30 acres overlooking one of Antigua's best white sand-beaches is the "Most Laid Back All-Inclusive Adults Only Resort", Pineapple Beach Club.
I had the privilege for a day, functioning in a dual capacity - a travel agent and a guest. Upon arrival, my first stop was at reception, where I was greeted by the receptionist w...ho provided me with pertinent details of the hotel rules and the day's events. From my moment of interaction, there was this welcoming feeling, which sets the tone of my day at Pineapple Resort.
My next stop was the Topaz Restaurant where the service was exceptional by both hostesses and chef. The buffet breakfast was to die for! When I thought I was taking in my last breath of excited air, I was taken on a tour of the property.
The Resort offers 180 guest rooms in categories such as Courtyard, Gardenview, Oceanview, Beachfront & Waterfront with private balcony, or patios and few rooms featuring shared verandahs. Each room gave me an aroma that was so inviting, it swept me off my feet!
With all that excitement time was slowly slipping by, and lunch was upon us. I had so many options available to choose from - Topaz Restaurant, Pelican Snack Grill, The Outhouse to name a few. Not forgetting the bar and lounges - Sly Mongoose, Aqua, and Pineapple Disco Bar are opened to serve you with your drink of choice.
We do know that all work and no play make Jack/Jill a dull boy/girl! A wide range of activities awaits. Hobie Cat sailing, Kayaking, Pedal boats, Water hammocks, Aqua aerobics classes, off-site tours and excursions including Pink Panther Island Safaris and Calypso Cat II Catamaran Tours to name a few. After such an eventful day, I found relaxation at the main bar & lounge area - Sly Mongoose Bar.
There are many more experiences to be had at Pineapple Resort, especially those who are planning there next Caribbean wedding - The Hilltop Gazebo, honeymoon, or just a great vacation - their able-bodied staff are waiting to serve!
At the end of my stay, as I walked out the entrance, I knew my home away from home will always be Pineapple Beach Club Antigua. Don't take my word for it! Come and experience it for yourself!

While visiting, stopping by The Tamarin Tree Bar and Restaurant located in The Valley Anguilla, next to Ashley's Supermarket is a must. Prepare to partake of the most delicious seafood dishes that is pleasing to the eye, as the stomach. You won't regret it!
