Some Thoughts: If we belong to God, He watches over us and He watches out for us. This does not mean that we do not have to face problems and difficulties. We live in a fallen world where there is much suffering. However, we have the blessed assurance that our God is the God of all consolation. He is the God who comforts us. If you are a Christ-follower, then you have received God’s Spirit who is also the Comforter.
When life gives way under us, and our knees are buckling, we can call on our Lord for His Comforter is present to pour hope into our hearts. Let us draw near to God’s Holy Spirit and as we pray and study God’s Word, more and more is revealed to us about God.
When life gives way, let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Let us build our hope on nothing less than “Jesus’ blood and righteousness.”
