The Institute of War and Peace Studies (IWPS)

The Institute of War and Peace studies is a non-profit think tank based in Kabul with a focus on strategic, military and defense studies in Afghanistan and beyond.The institute is consists of a Board of Directors, senior management and an advisory board consisting of prominent national and international security professionals and academics.IWPS is currently led by former Deputy Minister of Defense, Tamim Asey, who has held several senior positions within the Afghan government. He has also written extensively on defense, military and intelligence matters in national and international journals, newspapers and portals.The IWPS places high emphasis on integrity and high quality research to its clients. We strive to provide the best quality research products that is relevant to war and peace studies in Afghanistan and beyond in an efficient, effective and with integrity – financial and academic.
