  Afghan Geological Survey (also known as AGS) is one of the general directorate of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and is responsible for all explorational activities in mining sector in Afghanistan.
  There are different directorates and departments in its organisational chart including Directorate of Mine Surveying, Directorate of Environmental Geology, Directorate of Laboratories, Directorate of Geological Information and etc.
  The General Directorate of Petroleum is also located at the same building (5th floor).
