  This is an historic park that is open to the public all day. There are beautiful trees and nice green grass to sit on and enjoy a park of Deira's history.
  
  The historic watchtower that was built in 1870 is one of Dubai's most popular photography subjects.
  The mud and coral-stone tower is one of two surviving examples of a series of inland-facing fortifications that protected the old Dubai city from attack by hostile desert tribes. The impenetrable tower was fully restored in 1992, and is surrounded by a small garden with palm trees. The circular structure has no doors or windows on its lower half and only slits in the upper reaches, making it perfect for defending the city.
