This is one of the coolest things about life in the UAE. The formula one track in Abu Dhabi is open to cyclists and runners or walkers twice a week. FREE OF CHARGE!
Opens from six to ten, cyclists go clockwise, people on foot counter clockwise. You must register in advance and receive a barcode. This can be printed on a card that you collect, but I have mine on my phone. There are bikes provided for people who don't have their own.
There are essentially two lanes. Faster cyclists keep to the left, leisure cyclists to the right. Can be crowded by times.
5.3 kilometre circuit. Plenty of turns. One climb just at the end. It's around eighty metres. Smooth surface, amazing location.response / report this review -

Loved the road bikes, great condition and such a fun and energising experience being on the F1 circuit for free. Great and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Amazing experience for adults and kids.
You can run, walk or cycle.
They rent cycles with helmets (two types one for 20 dirham an hour and another one for 40 dirham an hour, kids bikes are also available). Sports shoes can also be rented.
You must wear closed sports shoes and proper sports clothing when cycling, for safety).
They hold this event every Sundays and Tuesdays from 6pm until 10pm.response / report this review -
