  Went during lunch time not knowing that the buffet for 165 Dirham was after 7pm. Plenty of seating because there were only 5 patrons. Kind of a shame because the interior decor was nice. The staff were friendly, but not as fluent in English as I would hope.
  They give you rolls with butter while waiting, sadly the margarine had separated, and the rolls were so tough it took 5 minutes for one bite. The chicken took 45 minutes to prepare. I almost fell asleep. Like I said there weren't many people in the restaurant. It looked nice enough, but the chicken was too overcooked and rubbery. Taste was average. Prices were too high.

  Buffet may be better.

  Lovely place to eat very convenient whilst staying at oasis JA apartments Dubai. Very nice,friendly staff good food not expensive highly recommended and fab breakfast.

  Visited thyme yesterday for the Friday brunch. I did read reviews on zomato before heading to that place but somewhere in my mind I wasn’t very sure.
  
  My wife a lunch buffet for two at Thyme in JBR. At fisrt we were thinking of giving away the passes to some friend of ours, but thank god that we didn’t give it to anyone else I would have deeply regretted it.
  
  If you don’t frequent JBR then this place may be a bit difficult to find. Looking around closely we could see the oasis beach tower and then we knew that we had reached. Having read the reviews beforehand I knew that there was no valet parking facility, so we went and parked the car at the paid parking which is close by.
  
  The restaurant is located on the first floor, when we entered we were warmly welcomed and taken to our seat. I had booked a table for two in advance. There were families all around. We were shown around the place.
  
  Now coming down to the food….there was just too much of food. Be its salads or the main course or the dessert. All the items were just perfect. I could not find any fault in any of them. In the salads I really liked the one with brinjal in it, the salad section is like huge and there is a lot of variety to choose from and you will not be disappointed with the spread.
  
  The next section was for the various kinds of breads. In this section behind the breads there are a lot of jars having different mixtures. I tried the pumpkin one and the fig one…it was basically a pickle and it was mouthwatering.
  
  The next section was for roasts, there was chicken, lamb and beef along with a lot of sauted and stir fried veggies. There was pepper sauce and mint sauce. I had chicken along with roasted potatoes and other stir fried veggies topped with pepper sauce.
  
  The next section was live cooking. There was fish and chicken…you had to select and let them know and then they would serve it on your table. There was only one rice item consisting of sea food – mussels, prawns and fish. There was only 1 pasta and it was cooked well. There were various fresh fruit juices to choose from. I had kiwi.
  
  There was so much food that I cant even remember right now. There is not much love given to this place. I have loved it here and will be definitely looking forward to visit again.
