I struggled with making up my mind about undergoing a major oral surgery (to fix my overbite) or just living with what I was born with. After seeing 5 orthodontists/dentists in Dubai who all insisted that oral surgery was my only option, two of my friends recommended I see Dr. Faysal Talass. I have already heard of Dr. Talass as he is a well known orthodontist in UAE with an outstanding reputation and a long standing history in the country (also holds a PHD which I learnt after googling him). When I first met Dr. Talass, he examined my teeth, took x-rays and then gave me 2 options. The first option he recommended highly was a simple process of 18-24 months by extracting 2 of my upper teeth and realigning my bite with braces and the second option (which he voted against) was the surgery given the surgery has 3-4 years’ recovery time and comes with many side effects especially for adults over 18 years (like myself). His approach, communication skills and friendliness was beyond my expectation. Although he is more on the expensive side (the clinic provides payment plans if you don't want to pay at one go), I can’t be more thankful for getting my teeth fixed with him once and for all.
Visited Talass to consult about some options regarding going for either a bridge or an orthodontic treatment. Given the information provided to me, I preferred to go for the bridge. Dr. Talass (Orthodontics) and Dr. May (Veneers/Cosmetic Dentistry) provided me with excellent treatment, very informative, and friendly.
I liked his friendliness and transparency as well as focus on the more healthier solution for teeth, which is rare nowadays given majority go for "instant" solution.
