My wife and i had come over to Qasr Al Sarab from Dubai on the 19-04-18 for a 2 night stay to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We wanted it to be special and romantic so we chose to come here as it was one of many options away from home. It was a great choice because of the service and ambience. This was our first trip to Qasr Al Sarab but were taken a back by the hospitality and services we received from door to door buggy rides to fine dinning and in room comfort. The room was amazing with a beautiful view. The pool was serine and amazing with great staff to attend to our needs. We were truly pampered and would definitely come again to stay here plus will recommend anyone who wants a romantic in the middle of the desert experience to remember. Regards Zane Dubash.
Super cool place in the middle of dessert. Activities are all limited to what hotel can provide. There is absolutely nothing else, except this resort on that area. Perhaps good for couples for a weekend getaway.
Very strong price tag but you get what you pay for. The staff was absolutely top notch and the accommodations were first rate. If you are travelling a great distance to see this part of the world I highly recommend this kind of desert resort experience.
Great place! Enjoyed my 3 days stay there. Enough activities to do and keep busy, nice pool to stay refreshed. Very nice people.
I’ve been here several times , what a lovely place
BUT, I brought some friends to see the area all the way from Abu Dhabi city and they won’t let us in , even to have a look unless we have a reservation! That was surprising how rude they were, didn’t expect that from Anantara group at all .
Almost 3 hours drive for nothing
This made me really upset and if I would go to a retreat I wouldn’t visit this place again, NEVER!
The UAE is filled with other amazing places.
What a SHAME Anantara!
Amazing desert resort. Just make sure to go here during cooler months of the year. I went in Feb end and it was already beginning to warm up.
The resort is extremely pretty and really far away from mainland. There is a 10 odd km drive inside the resort itself!
A truly unique experience. I was terrified of all desert insects, but fortunately the trip went well.
I was there for one weekend. Utilized my time wisely by taking a walk in the property and waking up early to walk up the dunes.
Food was ok. I tried Al Gadheer restaurant and their pasta was alright.
Great place with 5 star experience. Very good and scenic road between the dunes. Its not dry hotel.
Great staff and the best desert resort I have ever stayed in and We are well travelled.
Scenic view and huge terrace room are a must. I came here with my wife and kids and they absolutely loved it the staff cannot do enough for you.
This is defiantly one for the bucket list
An exceptional hotel providing a five star desert retreat, but with 5 star prices too (not cheap). The quality and service is sublime. If you can afford it then it's quite an experience.
It's real oasis in the middle of the desert. Amazing place with great views Great service and very friendly staff. Great activities Deserve more than 5☆..
The resort is big but still very intimate, the most of the rooms have an amazing view over the sand dunes. The food from the main restaurant was really good, tasty and healthy. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly. The pool area is large and comfortable. All the atmosphere was incredible. The most beautiful place in the world for me, as I met the love of my life between those sand dunes. That place has a marvelous beauty. :) I highly recommend it!!!
Great experience, location is amazing and fabulous sand duns around , room were great with the Turkish bath in the washroom and the artistic old design of the house. The service is great and the staff were very friendly especially Mr. Omar who was very helpful. The prices were moderate as the level of the service you get. The food is great, they offer fresh camel milk on the breakfast :)
Speechless. Nothing I can complaint. Perfect place ever. I had really great time and unforgettable place for everything. Begun with welcome drinks, details of located water in the room, nice pool at night, feeling amazing of middle of real desert, worth breakfast, each place had theme like library etc., prepared small souvenir and filled with small water in my car for going back. Impressed experience ever from the beginning and at the end.
Brilliant road to reach there. The location is unique and the hotel beautiful. The staff however lacked training (especially the porters/valet, which are the first staff you actually meet on arrival). They didn't give a very good impression of the hotel. Scenery is magic.
It's in the middle of nowhere so a once in a lifetime time opportunity. Right in the middle of the desert. Be prepared for a 3 hour drive if you are coming from Dubai. The rooms were all Arabian themes and very comfortable. Also be prepared to loosen your wallet. Everything is expensive here but you pay for the experience. Food was good. Huge pool. Best time to visit is between Nov to March. Was not happy with the fact that we had to pre order our dinner 24 hours in advance and also decide on the time. It's won't be the case for all guests but we were a group so were asked to do so. A 5 star restaurant should be ready for a unexpected large order.
I consistently received the best service at Qasr Al Sarab. This is the place to go to get away & truly relax and recharge. Time barely exists on a clock here. Could it be the sand? I'm inspired and amazed by this desert oasis.
My wife and I stayed for one night only.
After the long drive, we thought check-in was slow and drawn out (25 minutes).
Our room was very nice and comfortable, good air conditioning (quiet), and good amenities.
We had booked the sunset camel ride and were somewhat disappointed. We only had a ride around a valley, no going up sand dunes, so we missed the sunset. I guess no one mentioned it was at sunset but not that we would see it. We should have stayed in our room to see the sunset over the dunes.
The staff are very polite and very good English and quite knowledgeable. We had drinks at the pool which was extremely pleasant.
We are both vegetarian but only meals available was pasta, so we decided not to have dinner.
The breakfast buffet was nice although service was slow to get coffee. It was a shame no tables were set up outside or cleaned as it was a pleasant morning and not too hot.
We went for a walk up the dunes which was pleasant.
Checkout was fast.
if you want peace and tranquility and to get away fro it all, this is definitely the place to go.
set in the dunes of the empty quarter, this imposing building suddenly appears after a 10 minute drive off of the road and into the desert.
the staff are attentive and always willing to go out of their way to help, the rooms are stunning and the pool is a welcome escape from the heat.
its a definite bucket list location
Amazing luxurious desert staying experience! The hotel is located in the Middle of the Rub al Khali desert (empty quarter) 3 hrs away From Dubai. All you see around is Sand! dunes up to 200meters high. We went mid April and the weather was warm but dry. Hotel is quite expensive but the service was very good and the restaurant were good as well. Great experience!
I went here for my honeymoon and it was just perfect. An nice escape with nothing but dunes surrounding you. We got unlucky with the weather, but we were still able to squeeze in horseriding and dune boarding. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, with an enormous bathtub. I would highly recommend for a romantic getaway!
This beautiful hotel is the perfect holiday destinations if your looking for variety. Qasr Al Sarab has great tennis courts, luxuries swimming pools and everything you would expect to find at a 5 star hotel. However, they have the wonderfull addition of a number of activities ranging from fun camel rides to educational falcon shows. At this desert resorts you will receive world class service and food with extremely friendly staff, especially the activity guides.
Nice place to unwind. It is serene and relaxing. You may encounter some wild life. Night sky is quite clear, with very little light pollution in some directions. One of the best places for stars photography.
