Beautiful scenery and a good escape from the hustle and bustle of Abu Dhabi city. I have to admit, it was overrated. The pool was tiny and the service was slow. Our server did a great job but considering they were quite understaffed, our group alone exhausted her. She did her best though. Overpriced for a day pass.

Very bad experience, look elsewhere (e.g. Saadiyat Beach Club or Emirates Palace Beach Club). I am quite surprised by the number of positive reviews, as this place really miss the basics. We booked a daily pass worth circa 400 AED. The day started with the receptionist telling us she could no find our booking - note that they called me 3 times the day before in order to confirm and be sure we were coming. Then, our boat trip to the island was delayed by almost 1 hour (from 10.30 to 11.20), due to overbooking - and we were waiting from 9.50. Once on the island, our bad experience continued. Firstly, totally lack of coordination and management: you have to tell the waiters where you are heading to (basically, next restaurant) so they can move the bill, and a simple "split the bill" seemed extremely complicated. The waiters seem inexperienced, e.g. they couldn't even provide basic information about the food they are serving, at the beach they never brough napkins with food (4 orders), they could not remember our order and then our name (necessary for the bill). At the "Library Cellar" lounge there were refreshments, but no glasses at all - we had to ask 4 times and the glasses came only after 30 minutes. Secondly, the facilities: the main beach is only 20 meters, and very crowded - we couldn't even find a spot and we had to take some chairs. Its swimming pool is not that big, and was crowded as well. The second beach is basically for watersports and can accomodate very few guests (all spots taken), and it's just few meters long. A private island that can't provide a spot to their guests? Then, the food: it was really below the average you would expect from such a place (tried the fresh sea food restaurant and the mexican restaurant). The cocktails were almost analcolic and the glass of sauvignon was not good at all. The only positive aspect was the water quality, which is definetively better than the one in Dubai, Yas Island or Saadiyat. Overall, extremely unsatisfaied.

Amazing Pineapple beach. Very exclusive. Great drinks. But very expensive!

Ambiance was amazing. Brunch was underwhelming especially for the price. I follow them on Instagram though and ut seems like I may have gone during off season which is still a disappointment because I expected top quality service and food regardless of the season since this is such a well talked about place. I'll check it off my things to do in Abu Dhabi list but probably won't return.

One of Abu Dhabi's best kept secrets. Awesome is an understatement. Breathtaking is unjust. A stone throw paradise away from the Abu Dhabi. Try their restaurants for lunch or dinner. Or spend the day with the kids on the beach. Or a romantic secluded getaway under the sun rays. A must. Not cheap. But, well worth it.
