Hi this is Mr. Hagop
I'm the Science HOD of middle school.
I've been working with the school for 3 years and it's been the best place I have worked in, in Dubai.
I love my job and enjoy what I do every day at MPS.
The school has been extremely supportive, appreciative of mine and other teachers' efforts.
Teachers have the opportunity to develop and grow professionally in this amazing environment.
Students have the opportunities to learn through experiments, games, hands on, and gain all the 21st Century learning skills!

The school has an incredibly welcoming environment where every child feels safe, protected, and listened to. It produces well-rounded students and cares for each child's specific needs. Whether it is academics, sports, activities, or personal development, the school excels in improving each aspect in its students. As an alumni, I have very fond memories of my teachers, classes, and school.

Mirdif Private School is an amazing school. Having experienced the feeling of being a student at it for 5 years was an awesome experience. I learned a lot of things that will help me in my life, like how to be independent and how to have self-confidence and it also taught me how to deal with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I will never forget the amazing years I spent at this school and all the teachers that have taught me. And most importantly I will never forget how the principal Miss Randa was like a parent to every student. This school has for sure offered to me and every student "An Education for a Lifetime"

There are multiple reason for my 2 star rating. To be fair, the school actually deserves a single star rating. The management of the school is struggling to find a rhythm and a way that works. By chopping and changing regularly, the teachers are working under immense pressure. Serious deadlines for impossible tasks are given one day in advance and just makes life even more difficult. At times unnecessary work is given, just as out of pure spite (I am not even doubting this). The management does not care about its staff and will make changes to whichever suits them best.
The school is run by a money hungry management and enforces rules, regulations and stipulations that creates a hostile and unhappy work environment. This unfortunately filters through to the students. They are the ones pulling at the short end of the straw. They are suffering. They are not getting a proper education.
The only part of this school that saves it from being 1 star is the teaching staff. Never in my life have I ever seen such a hard working group of professionals. These are heroes as they do what they are told (like dogs), but still manage to do this with a smile, all though most of them are crying inside. From an employee's perspective, rather steer clear of the school. From a parent's perspective, the teachers will bend their backs over to give your child the best education, but unfortunately management makes this a very difficult task.

It is an amazing school. The experience of being an employee for 5 years at such a school has been no less and an educational and learning experience. It has always supported its employees, students and parents for providing EXACTLY what its mission and vision believes in. An education for a lifetime. It maintains a transparent and strong relationship with the parents and develops character and social skills. A lovely place to be if you really want to learn and succeed in the future indeed.

If i could put 0 stars, i would have. I don't know what its like to be a pupil or a parent, but as a UK trained teacher it is AWFUL!!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!!
The accommodation was horrific and when i said anything about it i was told its not really the schools responsibility! I was left at the airport at 3:30 am for about half an hour! No one to collect me! I was dropped at the shoddy accommodation and left there with a hand towel, a bar of soap, a leaking bathroom, some apple, a bottle of water and a bottle of orange juice. The next day, I had no way of contacting the school or my parents to let them know i had arrived so I found my own way to a mall to try and get a sim card. When i finally got one and text and emailed the school to find a way back to the apartment I was ignored!
Luckily my lovely housemate rescued me!
They have cameras in the classes for audio and visual! They have a very strict routine which MUST be followed! The primary teachers are given their planning - which might sound nice - no planning to do - but it must be followed strictly and you will be called up on it if you don't! The teachers literally wait to sign out at 4 o clock as they are told off for signing out any earlier! When a couple who arrived just before me tried to leave the school illegally held onto their passports for 2 days!
I was also told I would be KG teacher/KG Team Leader, however when i arrived I was introduced to someone and they said I'm, KG teacher and KG team leader
OH! Thought that was my role?!!?!
It is a shocking shocking school, none of their western teachers are happy! I was very lucky to escape before I had signed a contract
if you want to live in the horrible desert side of Dubai and work for a strict, non creative school then this is for you, but i would STRONGLY advise against it!response / report this review
