I have a business account that I’m about to shut down due to the lack of professionalism and really high fees of Mashreq. I have to say though they were one of only two options when we opened our company but now I realize that they totally take advantage of that and really over charge.
Moving to another bank after waiting for 3 years for things to change. Only got worse.
Motor city branch closed, IBN battuta mall do not have tocken system, no chairs to wait and you dont know what's happening. Running the branch with few security staff. Mashreq technology without a human face.
Customer care will never take calls.
Moreover they charge extra on credits card, and atlast you will end up paying without choice.
I had an old account with Mashreq Bank. And it was the worst experiences in my entire life.
The most unfriendly and dismissive teller i have ever met. Please, give your customer facing employees a course in how to treat customers nicely, otherwise you will lose so many people who will simply not accept to be treated so badly..
Good infrastructure and well amount of customers.. but most of the time they are slow in serving customers.. They have to concentrate more on this.
This is the WORST customer service I never encountered in my life!
Don’t get a loan from there as they don’t have contacts in case of problem, and we had a LOT of problems Long waiting times for no help
I thought HSBC was the worst bank, well, it turns out they have a competitor!
Nearly 2 hours waiting for my turn to correct a mistake made by the teller last time. Keep having “high priority” customer passing in front. Finally got applauses from other customer when it was my turn. Another customer cut his credit card in the branch. Another was here waiting for hours because he couldn’t reach the 24h 7/7 phone line. We also had a complaint that was set to be replied within 2 days, we’ve been waiting for replies for over a week.
Poor teller had to manage all the angry customers (including me), professionally, but had limited power. I complaint to the branch manager on the teller’s advice. He didn’t even give us a phone number for home loans, it doesn’t exist, even though our home loan is costing us 2kAED/ month of interests, it is not enough for them to put a phone number.
Anyway, after some “let stick to the standard reply I am supposed to say as a branch manager” without actually trying to discuss on potential solutions, or improvement opportunities, he didn’t even say “bye”, he just walked away. Bold move, not professional, but bold.
Update, they screwed up again, refunded an advance payment (why??) and a monthly payment (why???), that will be an extra 500AED in fees plus interest to cover this mistake. This bank should go bankrupt they are so stupid it’s crazy!!!

Worst customer service. No smiles no manners or common courtesy. It's a disgrace to customer service.
Waiting almost 1 hour to do a simple transaction.
Out of 5 counters, 3 are closed. The bank is empty but still the waiting time is very long and slow staff!
