  Manor Hall International School's owners and administration make it the most dangerous and worst school I have taught in during the past 30 years. The students are wonderful, and are the reason that some teachers are able to stay more than a year at this school. In the two school years I was there, 57 teachers quit or fled the school. In general, most teachers last only a semester or two due to the horrendous conditions provided to faculty by Khalil and his wife Sahar. Most teachers do not receive work visas, making it illegal to work in the country, and forcing teachers to go on a monthly tourist visa run to Oman after school. I was discharged from the school, after I was advised not to continue working illegally at the school by UAE Immigration, who say Khalil does not pay the proper fees to license teachers. The housing was horrible, the kitchen filled with roaches, up to 5 teachers sharing a small apartment without even a kitchen table. The water, electricity, and internet regularly went out, due to non payment of bills by administration. Also, the school does not pay contracted bonuses or those ordered by UAE law. For example, I was never given even a one year contracted severance, although I never missed a day of teaching for over 3 full semesters. Khalil can treat his teachers poorly, as you will not most likely not receive a work permit (a few lucky teachers do). So, you will not have legal standing in UAE courts, which of course he knows. These are some of the reasons the school had 5 principles and dozens of teachers in the 2 years I taught at this horrible institution.
  
  Most of these positive reviews were written at the request of the current Principle, to waylay last years poor reviews.
  
  In response to the nitwit below.
  1. My paperwork was complete June 2016, months before the other teachers came. The school had all paperwork for months and months yet never moved on it.
  2. The High School lost at least 9 teachers from August 2016-March 2017 (2 Heads of Arabic, 1 Arabic teacher, 1 Chemistry teacher, 2 Social Studies teachers, 1 Head of English, 1 English teacher, 1 Special Ed teacher) .
  3. Immigration informed me not to continue working at the school illegally, which I informed the Vice Principle and owner of immediately, neither responded as is the norm when this school drops the ball.
  4. UAE law is a month's bonus each year, I worked one full school year (no bonus) and left after completing another semester until warned in #3.

  Having been a parent of three children at MHIS for going on four years now, I can say that I am excited about the learning and positive things happening this year. There is an air of positive vibes surrounding student learning and staff cohesiveness that leads me to believe more growth in the future is on the way. I understand that building a great school takes time, so I appreciate the efforts of all the teachers and secondary administration who lead and teach my children (Robert, Gabby, and Kyle).

  Manor Hall International School is a unique school that care about the students personality in a way that let them express themselves and feel free to ask , share or communicate with others.Another thing is that the school provides the way in which students seek for knowledge rather than learning in an ordinary way. Activities ,celebrating national day and other occasions make students feel that school isn't a place to learn only.
  I would like to thank all the administration ,teachers and stuff for their great efforts .
  I would like to mention that I noticed adding school hours is not helping students have enough time to do homeworks at home because they reach home at almost 4pm and don't have time to do anything else. Thanks again☺

  I am a student in 6A, this is my first year, and it's pretty good so far. I like the teachers and education, but if you guys can make some of the following stuff, it'd be better:
  a cafeteria; a canteen is nice, but a cafeteria is easier. you can just dump some food, hot and fresh and also you could pay for the food every month, which is easier AND we would have half the time lunch, half go outside, both at seperate times. Also a 10 minute snack outside isn't a problem. please make a change and thank you.

  I really like this school so far. The education in this school is great! My kids are having fun in this school and they really like it. it would be nice to have bigger soccer field at the school. Also not too many electives courses options are available in high school, it s good to have more choices that students can select from. Having a cafeteria would also be nice

  I am very pleased with the experience that my daughter is having at Manor Hall International School! She is currently in the 6th grade being taught by teachers who are high quality educators. My daughter is very smart, and her teachers are making the necessary accommodations for her intelligence. This is a plus because differentiating instruction is not an easy task! The principal, Mr. Jeremy is great at keeping the children first, and is very involved with the learning process at the school. I am looking forward to the rest of the school year, and many more years of growth for my daughter!

  I highly recommend Manor Hall School, Students, Teachers and Administrators are very welcoming. My children are always happy to go to school because of very warmth relationships of all the staffs. Teachings has positive impacts to learners and challenging activities helps the students to be physical active and fit.

  Would like to take some time out to send some positive feed back
  about the school my daughter is going toManor Hall.
  We had a great start, came to school to see our staff and found the school buzzing with excitement; halls filled with creative energy. What a sight to see Bulletin boards full of color and teachers glad to show you what they were doing.
  
  There have been some new editions to the school, New principle; Mr. Jeremy and several new teachers. I am happy to say that the teachers were working together with the teachers who were still here. They were getting things done.
  
  I must say that as a parent I am happy to see such a positive group of men and woman working to develop our children's minds. Best thing about all of this is my daughter has been coming home excited she talks about all of her teachers. She is being challenged to think and the best thing is she is loving taking them all on.
  
  I have met nothing but smiling faces and positive conversation.
  So I want to encourage all the wonderful staff at Manor Hall to continue to stay positive and excited . We appreciate all the hard work you have been doing to get the school ready for our children and
  especially for us. It's been great.
  
  It really does take a village to raise a child, so I am asking all Manor Hall parents to come out and continue to support our wonderful school.
