The Highland Heritage
Highland Group is proud of its heritage. A heritage that started in 1975. Providing tastefully done royal retreats for more than 3 decades. It’s an unending story written with passion. And that’s why it has two sides. Established in 1975 in Trivandrum, the hospitality town of south India by being the home to the world famous Kovalam beach, Highland group’s first venture was Hotel Highland. Tucked in the heart of the erstwhile princely capital, Hotel Highland is home to 87 well-appointed rooms and a 90-seats multi-cuisine rooftop restaurant. The hotel also has a Conference Hall with a capacity for 75-100. Thus, catering to the boarding and lodging needs of both foreign tourists and domestic visitors alike, Highland Park had, in a short span of time, become a landmark in hospitality.
The Highland Chain
The group’s second property, Hotel Highland Park, came into existence in 2001. The 40-rooms Highland Park is also famous for its 45-seats multi-cuisine vegetarian restaurant. And now, Highland Group’s third hospitality project in Kerala is taking its final shapes in Kochi, the commercial capital and port city of the state. Chalked out to be a prestigious landmark, the new hotel, coming up opposite to the GCDA headquarters in Vyttila, will have 110 deluxe rooms, spacious conferencing facilities, two multi-cuisine restaurants and other modern amenities once it is ready for opening soon.

Highland Garden Restaurant in Garhoud, near Welcare Hospital and opposite to GICO metro station, was opened to the public on 17th December 2010. It was a fitting tribute to the celebration of over 35 years in the hotel industry.

While the Highland Restaurant chain is noted for its multi cuisine (Indian, Chinese and Continental) it has also earned a distinct name for the authentic and exclusive Malabar cuisine – puttu, appam, kappa meen curry etc., The highlight is ‘chefs on masala’, a typical Highland masala concept that has helped us to add a distinct flavour and taste and thereby provide authentic cuisine with very relishable taste.
Highland Garden Restaurant also has a good party hall and also undertakes outdoor catering. Plans are on the anvil to have Highland Garden Restaurant outlets in Muscat and Qatar where the interior work is on the verge of completion as well as in various parts of Kerala.
