Not a good choice for higher studies. While some teachers are great, some are the complete opposite, who do not care for a student's wellbeing. No diversity at all, majority are Indians and the community is not a great one. DON'T BELIEVE THE INDIAN REVIEWS THEY JUST SAY THE UNI IS GOOD CAUSE THEY HAVE THEIR INDIAN GANGS.

In assessments of group work, even if it's not your fault- it's still your fault. Even if you couldn't have controlled the situation. The university really doesn't care. People here are trying their hardest and they get into these situations, but then there are people who get As for assignments by paying external agencies to write the essays for them. Def gonna leave soon. Wouldn't recommend this uni to my friends in LA who wanted to come here. Imma go back to LA now, my parents were right been here for 4 months (1 sem), and I wanna go back.

I don't understand the 1 star reviews here. I have been here for 3 weeks now, and the university is very good.
My teachers are very good, they look like they are ready and care for the students
And yes, diversity is a problem here. Lots and lots of Indians here, but that isn't a huge issue (yet)

If I could, I would give them zero stars. The fashion department is completely disorganized and some of the staff are unprofessional. They pretend to show almost care in aiding students but when the time comes they are completely useless. The staff don't take responsibility for their actions. Some students don't even get their projects back after their submission and correction and professors are unconcerned about it.

Good university in terms of field-specific and market oriented courses. Faculty is average and need more efforts in terms of delivering the knowledge to the students.

Heriot Watt Dubai campus is one of the finest universities in the region in terms of education. The system is the same as the one in Edinburgh campus with lots of good professors especially in the engineering school.
The engineering labs may be a bit smaller in size but are very well equipped with all the necessary tools for learning. The 2 ITLabs are large enough and the required softwares are available.
Most of the staff here is friendly and helpful.
The food court however, is in a bad condition with only one restaurant now catering for the students, and its food is not good honestly.
Dorms are also available for male and female student in separate areas.
The university has 2 quiet study rooms ( one of them has a discipline problem which is why a security guard is usually there ) and a library which is well stocked with the necessary books needed for the courses, the borrowing procedure is simple too.
In terms of diversity this university might not fare well since there are lots of indians. (About 50%)
The clubs of the university are in a mess, the sports clubs won't have lots of students being actively involved, and the recreation room is a joke.
